The Neutral faction is the fifth faction in the game available to all decks.
The Neutral faction is available to any deck, and contains a variety of unit types.
Although the Neutral faction contains every single unit type in the game, only two are unique to it: Knights and Pirates.
The Knights usually have no special abilities, save a few like Brothers in Arms and Victors of the Melee, and Pirates manipulate the cards in your hand: discarding cards, drawing them, or replacing them. The different types of units in the neutral faction are designed to be "refugees" from their respective kingdoms, sharing a portion of that faction's theme.
