Fixedly forward movement is a status a unit can have Stormbound: Kingdom Wars. Unlike, poison, freeze, confusion, or vitality, fixedly forward movement appears directly on the card, replacing the regular movement icon with a different one.
Overview[ | ]
Units with fixedly forward movement always move forward at the moment they are played. They will not attack enemy units or structures on the tiles beside them. This includes movement on play that is a result of gaining speed, in the case of Felines.
If a unit with fixedly forward movement becomes confused after they have been played, then they will move sideways the next time they move.
- A Sparkly Kitties affected by Temple of Mind will move fixedly forwards on play, despite the fact that it is confused. Additionally, it will remain confused after completing its movement, as confusion does not go away until the unit moves sideways.
Visually, units with fixedly forward movement do not have passive particle effects while on the board, since they do not have any special properties while on the board. Instead, they are marked by an alternate movement icon on their card, which can be seen while in your hand or when inspected.
Strategies[ | ]
Units with fixedly forward movement can ignore enemy units that they would otherwise attack.
- Bypass enemies blocking your units from advancing forward.
- Send units directly into the enemy base without attacking units your opponent may have placed to defend it.
