Ranked Mode is one of the game modes of Stormbound, where players can fight other players in order to gain rewards and rise the ranks.

Pressing the Battle button will put you into a queue until you are matched with another player or CPU.

Daily Rewards[ | ]

(Note: If you were looking for rankup rewards, see here.)

  • In Starter, Iron, Bronze, Silver and Gold leagues, a victory will yield Coin 10 + an additional Coin 10 for watching an ad or for having the Premium Pass.
  • In Platinum league, a victory will yield Coin 15 + an additional Coin 15 for watching an ad or for having the Premium Pass.
  • In Diamond league, a victory will yield Coin 20 + an additional Coin 20 for watching an ad or for having the Premium Pass.
  • In Heroes league, a victory will yield Coin 25 + an additional Coin 25 for watching an ad or for having the Premium Pass.

Additionally, it is worth noting that:

Victories while playing on Steam will yield the base amount per league only since ads cannot be watched on this platform—unless there is an active Premium Pass, in which case it’s doubled, just like when watching an ad.

The first win of the day will reward you with an extra Coin 30. This bonus resets daily at 7:00 UTC.

Coin Cap[ | ]

There is a Coin 400 cap on the amount of coins you can get via battling. This cap is also shared with coins that may be earned from Brawl Mode. This cap also resets daily at 7:00 UTC.

Sources that count towards the coin cap:

  • Coins from winning a battle
  • Coins from the first win of the day bonus

Sources that don't count towards the coin cap:

  • Quests
  • Shop offers

(Note: You can obtain Coin 415 in a day by playing until you have reached Coin 395 out of the Coin 400 cap and then obtaining Coin 20.)

Card Level Cap[ | ]

Each league, with the exception of Platinum, Diamond, and Heroes League, have a card level cap that prevents cards higher than the cap from being played to their full potential. While a player is not prevented from playing a card that they have leveled past the card level cap, if they try to use it in the capped league, the card level will be reduced to the cap.

  • For example, if a player has a level 4 Gifted Recruits and are in Gold League, while in a match, their Gifted Recruits will only be level 3. This cap does not overwrite the cards progress, though. The card will remain level 4 in their collection.

Stars[ | ]

Star

Obtain stars by winning matches to rank up and get new rewards! Each league has its own amount of stars needed to rank up. For more information on each league's requirements and rewards, see the League Info section.

Obtaining Stars[ | ]

You can obtain stars from any of the following methods:

  • Winning a battle (+1 star) or winning a CPU battle (+2 stars)
  • Reaching the next rank (+1 star)

(Note: This means the max amount of stars you can receive from a single match is 3. Two from winning against a CPU and one from ranking up.)

Losing Stars[ | ]

You can lose stars from any of the following methods:

  • Losing a battle (-1 star)

(Note: At the end of the season, you are reset to the lowest rank of the league below your current one.)

Ranks, Leagues, and Seasons[ | ]

The many ranks of Stormbound are divided into 8 leagues. Each league, with the exception of Heroes League, has 5 ranks within them, and the rewards within each one differ.

In every league (except Starter's League), there is a season reset. The season reset occurs on the first day of each month at 00:00 GMT. When the season resets, you will be dropped to the bottom rank of the league below where you were and seasonal rewards will be collectible again. Additionally, you will receive a Season Chest depending on your league.

Rankup Rewards[ | ]

Demote in Ranked

There are two types of rank rewards: seasonal and first-time.

Seasonal rewards are given to the player when they reach that rank and become collected. At the end of each season, they refresh and become collectible again.

First-time rewards are also given to the player when they reach that rank and become collected. However, they never refresh; once you have collected them, you will never be able to collect them again.

Demote in Ranked Mode[ | ]

Players are offered the option to move to the next lowest league after losing 3 consecutive games while having 0 starts at the lowest possible division of their current league. For example, if you have 0 starts at Silver 5, you will be offered to demote down to Bronze - Division 3 - with 0 stars.

This does not influence the chest you will get at the end of the season, so you will always get the chest associated with the highest league you've reached during the season.

Heroes League[ | ]

Peak Leaderboard

Diamond League is the eighth and last league in the game. Season resets do occur here. This league does not have the same ranking system as the others — instead, it has a scoring ladder. Players move along that ladder based on the amount of Hero Crowns they own, also known as their Hero Score (HS for short). Owning Crown big hero 1 1500 Hero Crowns is the same as having a Hero Score of 1500. These are gained and lost after each ranked game performed in Diamond and the Heroes League (see formula below).

When entering the Diamond League, every player is granted Crown big hero 1 1000 Hero Crowns to start with. As they progress through Diamond, they already collect (or lose) Hero Crowns (see calculations below). When finally passing Diamond 1 and entering the Heroes League, the amount of Hero Crowns collected represents the current Hero Score—provided it is above 1000. If the Diamond progress was difficult and a player was to enter Heroes League with less than Crown big hero 1 1000 Hero Crowns, their score would be set to 1000.

A "Peak" leaderboard saves players' highest achieved rank, which will be decide their place on the current Heroes League board.

At the end of the season, players having reached the Heroes League will be down-ranked back to Diamond 5, their Hero Score will be reset, and they will receive a Heroes League chest.

Players within the top 500 of the ladder will gain additional rewards as follows:

  • The 1st player in the ladder will earn Fusion Stone 100 fusion stones, a unique player avatar that changes every month, a Book of Archdragons Book of Archdragons, a Book of Felines Book of Felines, a Book of Dragons Book of Dragons and a Book of Pirates Book of Pirates.
  • The 9 other players in the top 10 will earn Fusion Stone 50 fusion stones, a Book of Felines Book of Felines, a Book of Dragons Book of Dragons and a Book of Pirates Book of Pirates.
  • The 90 other players in the top 100 will earn Fusion Stone 25 fusion stones, a Book of Dragons Book of Dragons and a Book of Pirates Book of Pirates.
  • The 400 other players in the top 500 will earn Fusion Stone 10 fusion stones and a Book of Pirates Book of Pirates.

There is no Fortress Level cap in Heroes League.
